ALICE COOPER Puts 2005 Mustang GT Up for Bids

November 13, 2006

According to Edmunds.com, Alice Cooper has put his personal 2005 supercharged Ford Mustang GT up for sale on eBay. An independent assessor describes it in glowing terms. "This used auto has been babied — not a door ding," is the official word.

The Mustang GT comes in black, with cherry-red racing stripes that match the redwall tires. The 4.6-liter V8 pumps out 535 horsepower, thanks to custom touches including a Paxton supercharger with an intercooler fed from a Classic Design Concepts Shaker system. Other features include a Billy Boat exhaust system.

Total investment in the vehicle is estimated at $50,000. As you might expect from a rocker who stirred controversy for the "chicken incident" at a concert, the interior is tricked out with blood-red seats and door inserts.

The eBay site reports that Cooper "is selling this and will be building an Eleanor to replace it." As of Monday morning, this auction had received two bids, including one for $34,500.
